Alibaba Joins The Race Of AI Model To Challenge Microsoft, Amazon
On Tuesday, Chinese tech giant Alibaba launched the latest version of its artificial intelligence model. As per reports, the company is looking to compete with its US rivals, Microsoft and Amazon. It announced Tongyi Qianwen 2.0, which is a large language model. Recently, Alibaba also introduced the GenAI Service Platform.
Alibaba is the biggest cloud computing and eCommerce player in China, and it came up with Tongyi Qianwen 2.0, which is the latest large language model (LLM). The LLM is trained on large chunks of data and forms based on generative AI applications like ChatGPT (developed by OpenAI).
As per the statement of Alibaba, the Tongyi Qianwen 2.0 is a better upgrade from its predecessor, Tongyi Qianwen. On a press release note, Alibaba stated that the Tongyi Qianwen 2.0
?demonstrates remarkable capabilities in understanding complex instructions, copywriting, reasoning, memorizing, and preventing hallucinations.?
When AI presents incorrect information, it is called a hallucination.
Apart from that, the Chinese tech giant also released AI models for their applications in specific industries and uses. It created AI models for legal counseling and finances as they are related to business.

One of the fears that businesses have about public generative AI products like ChatGPT is that data could be accessed by third parties.?
Alibaba, as well as other major cloud providers in the market, are coming up with tools and apps for companies. These will help the latter build their own generative AI products using their own data. These cloud providers will also offer protection to these generative AI products as a part of the service package.
