Elon Musk Warned Suspension Of Anyone Advocating Genocide Of Any Group On X
Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter) stated that he will suspend anyone who is advocating the genocide of any group on the platform. He said after many accused him of amplifying an antisemitic statement last week.
Elon Musk posted on X ?
?At risk of stating the obvious, anyone advocating the genocide of *any* group will be suspended from this platform.?
He also added ?
?As I said earlier this week, ?decolonization?, ?from the river to the sea? and similar euphemisms necessarily imply genocide. Clear calls for extreme violence are against our terms of service and will result in suspension.?
Elon Musk also came across a backlash over an exchange on the X platform. He denounced such reports as ?bogus.? Earlier last week, after he endorsed a particular content on X, it led to an outrage. As a result, major advertisers like Apple Inc. started distancing themselves from the platform.
The controversy came up after Musk agreed to a post that was of the opinion that Jewish people actually look at white individuals with a ?dialectical hatred.? As per reports, many white supremacist conspiracy theorists used the content of the tweet.
After Elon Musk engaged with the antisemitic post, he came under widespread criticism. This led to discontent from several investors of Tesla and remarks from the White House as well. Companies like Walt Disney and various others have also started avoiding X by pulling off advertisements from the platform.
Many people started defending Elon Musk, and the company also issued statements after the fallout. Later on, Musk stated that anyone advocating any form of genocide on X would be liable for suspension.
